McIntyre Brook, viewed looking east, is part of a geologically significant area in New Brunswick known for its mineral prospects, including gold.
McIntyre Brook is a gold exploration property covering 111 square kilometres with a 17 kilometre strike length, located in New Brunswick’s Appalachian/Iapetus Gold Belt. This region has produced more than 20 million ounces of gold, including 12 million ounces discovered since 2015, and is the site of several recent gold projects in Eastern Canada.
The property is underlain by orogenic rocks that are similar in age and structure to those found at New Found Gold’s Queensway Project, which has been the focus of significant exploration activity in the area.
McIntyre Brook shares a boundary with Kinross-Puma Exploration’s Williams Brook Project, where recent drilling at the Lynx deposit reported intervals up to 50 metres at 5.55 grams per tonne gold. Geophysical surveys suggest that the mineralized structures identified at Williams Brook extend into the McIntyre Brook property, indicating potential for further exploration.
In 2019, two drill holes intersected gold mineralization, with the best result being 5.73 g/t Au over 2 metres within a broader 20 metre zone averaging 1.20 g/t Au.

A Major Intercontinental Suture Zone Coincident with Major Gold Deposits Across 2 Continents
Two ancient super-continents Gondwanaland, (today South America, Africa, Madagascar, Antarctica and India), and Laurentia, (today North America and Greenland), slowly collided roughly between 450-350 million years ago compressing the earth’s crust in between creating orogenic belts, or new mountain ranges. The Iapetus Suture Line is the line along which both ancient continents collided and ultimately “sutured” together. The tremendous pressures from the collision squeezed, liquified and gasified minerals deep in the crust that escaped towards surface along fractures and faults, leaching out metals including gold and silver along the way. As the liquids and gases approached cooler and lower pressures towards the earths surface, they collected and precipitated into mineral deposits such as “orogenic” and ”IOCG-type” deposits along this Iapetus Suture Line.
